Lady Gaga To Star In American Horror Story: Hotel

American Horror Story: Hotel has its first reservation and it’s none other that Hollywood’s favorite “Momma Monster”, Lady Gaga, making her series regular acting debut on the fifth season of the horror series.
Rumors of her casting in Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s FX anthology started circulating since earlier today, but have been most recently confirmed by Gaga herself who posted a video announcement on her Twitter account.
With this announcement, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, aka Lady Gaga, became the firstconfirmed casting for the next incarnation of the Emmy-nominated drama. Gaga’s casting is the latest coup for Murphy, who previously persuaded leading ladies including Jessic and Kathy Bates to join his American Horror Story family. Momma Monster also becomes the latest pop icon to join one of Murphy’s shows after former American Idol alumni Adam Lambert nabbed a recurring role on Fox’s Glee.
This has been a hectic month for Gaga who recently announced her engagement to Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney and shocked the world with her Oscars tribute to Julie Andrews. This role marks her largest TV gig to date and first series regular scripted gig after multiple unscripted appearances.
Season five of American Horror Story will likely debut in October; a specific premiere date has not yet been determined.
